Here comes Santa Claus!

We had a fabulous Christmas! The kids were thoroughly spoiled and so excited to see what Santa had brought. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy family and being together.

We did the annual Christmas Eve dinner and reading of the Christmas Story at G&G Spencers.

Wyatt was not totally into the shepard role this year!

Kids in their new pjs ready for bed and sugar plums to dance in their heads!

And Santa definitely arrived at our house!!

Merry Christmas!

We just finished taking these! Don't you think I have the most beautiful family in the whole wide world! I do for sure!!

And Wyatt is now 18 months old...he is growing up WAY too fast! What a handsome little man!

And my girls are gorgeous--and love to ham it up in front of the camera!

Everyone have a safe and fabulous holiday!!

What's up?

I am finally done with school! I did really good again this semester and now have two more to go and I will be ready to take the NCLEX-RN! Can not wait! The semester went really good, so very busy but good! And now I have spent the last two days cleaning my house, doing the laundry, and being with my kids! It's been awesome.
We had the Hyde family Christmas party with the annual visit from Santa last Monday, and the girls performed their Christmas concert at the school on Tuesday. They both did great. Maycee LOVES to sing and she did so good!

Brad is still working tons of hours on the Huntsman Cancer Hospital addition. The girls are so excited for Christmas and Santa to come. And wyatt...is...well...18 months old and letting everyone know! He has started into the "terrible twos", but he is so darn cute, he has a hard time letting anyone stay mad for very long!

Mini update

Things are good-everyone is mostly healthy, only minor things to deal with. The semester is almost over and once again I am rockin it! I love it, but it is extremely hard!! The kids are so excited for Christmas and I think I will be to once I can think about it. I promise I will update more when I am done...T-14 days!

Here we go again!

This time it's Wyatt's turn. He came down with a cold Sunday night and woke up in the middle of the night and was having a real hard time breathing. I started breathing treatments on him and we ventured to the doctor's office and they decided that it looked too much like Asthma so we have him on all kinds of meds to keep him out of the hospital and so far so good. He is still having a bit of trouble but it's getting better. Something in his and Maycee's genes...they are the two that look the most alike and they both end up with asthma.

Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween everyone! I can't believe that I have to start raking the billions of leaves in my yard already!

The kids had a fun time this year and they even ventured out in the rain and cold to go trick or treating! They got WAY more candy than they will ever even begin to eat and Wyatt was just along for the ride. He didn't quite catch on that the more houses you went to the more candy you got, he just wanted to eat the candy he already had. So he would just sit right down on the porch and open up the piece and eat it right there! Too Funny!!

Things have kinda, sorta slowed down, a little. I finished up my OB clinicals and I absolutely loved them! So I am thinking that I want to be a L&D nurse or ER nurse, so we will see.

So I got this bug in me that I wanted to chop off my hair. It was soooo.....ooo long. But I've always liked change and I thought this one was particularly good.

I had my mother in law chop it all off, it was probably about 10 to 12 inches off and even more cuz the back is layered a bit. But I really like it!

Wyatt wasn't so sure about the whole process, he looked pretty worried for a while when I was in the chair but he still gives me his slobbery kisses so I guess he decided I was still ok.

Holy Cow!

I am continually learning that my tolerance and stress levels can go to imaginary heights! The last couple of weeks have been seriously insane. School is so busy. I love it and it's a good thing because it pulls me away from my kids way too much. The first couple of weeks of the semester we are warned that we will live breath and eat 2nd semester nursing, and they weren't kidding. But I made it through and now that I am on the other side I really honestly have no idea how. In addition to school I still had kids and their homework to help with, house to take care of, meals to cook, clothes to clean and I worked every weekend. Needless to say I have taken it easy for a day( I felt guilty but then I remembered what I had just done!) Then last weekend our dog Max all of a sudden decided that he didn't want to walk on his hind leg anymore and he wouldn't eat or drink. So after a few days we started to whine really bad and we could tell he was in pain so we took him to the vet and they decided that there wasn't anything definatevely wrong with him other than he could have a bowel obstruction but they weren't positive and it was an exorbitant amount of money to find out so we said well we'll take the pain killers and at least make him comfortable and then if he doesn't improve we'll have to put him down. Then two days later he was magically cured, to this minute I have no idea what was wrong with him, but the girls are glad that he is going to live(for now anyway).
I am looking forward to the day when I can just go to work and not have school and work. I won't know what to do with myself...

The girls love their classes and teachers and are learning so much. Maycee is so excited to read and Emma is our excellent reader. Wyatt likes to think he is big and he "talks" all the time and walks some of the time but he is much faster at crawling and finds that he can actually keep up a little faster with his sisters that way, maybe someday he'll be faster at walking. And he is a climber, all over everything, toys, bookshelves, stairs, whatever he can reach his fat little feet to, he climbs.

Anyway, life is busy...now back to the studying!

Here we go again!

It has begun. The time of year when you can just feel it in the air, the mornings are a little crisper, and the sun goes down a little earlier, I actually really like this time of year!

Both emma and maycee started school on Monday. Em is in 2nd grade and Maycee is in Kindergarten!

And I start another semester today! (Honestly, don't know how excited I really am, but nevertheless...)

So welcome back early mornings and late nights and crazy life!

Lemonade stand

Emma and Maycee made a lemonade stand this morning! They even made special cups with pictures on them to sell for 25 cents.

I think they drank most of the pink lemonade themselves

FHE Cherry Hill Style

It was our annual Spencer Cherry Hill FHE last night. My little water babies had a blast. The funniest moment was when Em couldn't get anyone to go with her down Cardiac Canyon again. She had asked Jaclyn to go and Jaclyn said no, so she with her dramatic style that she has went over and got on a tube with my mom in the lazy river. When my mom asked what the matter was Em said she was just not in the mood anymore. When asked Why she wasn't "in the mood" she said that Jaclyn had told her no to go on the ride again and that Jaclyn liked Brad(her boyfriend, not my husband, ya we know it's wierd)better than her. Oh dear, what a girl! They had so much fun anyway it was soon forgotten!

Sunday Afternoon

It was the last Sunday that I wasn't going to have to work for a while, so I decided to take some pictures of the kids. I love lazy Sunday afternoons!

Just Keep Swimming, Just keep Swimming...

Emma and Maycee first did swim lessons at the rec center and while they had fun they really didn't learn anything, so...I asked Heather(a good friend, with access to a pool)if she wanted to do some lessons with the girls and she said she'd love to. They have improved sooooo much, it has been awesome! Thanks a million Heather!!!!

Emma's Swimming Party

Emma has begged and begged all summer(maybe even before school got out)that she could invite all her friends to the pool to swim. She had saved up all her allowance money so she could pay for everyone to get in and finally I caved. She invited three of her little neighbor friends and they had so much fun. I on the other hand was dang tired by the time we were done from trying to keep them all within sight.

Family Reunion

It was the Sowell Family reunion, actually the first we've ever had, at Grandpa and Grandma's cabin in Island Park, ID over the 4th. It was so nice to get away and relax in beautiful Island Park. It has been a long time since I've been up there, since Brad and I got married, way too long!

We took the girls to Big Springs to feed the fish, there were only a handful of them at the bridge but they had fun anyway.

We spent lots of time eating yummy, yummy food at Grandpa and Grandma's place, and enjoying one anothers company.

And of course we took the girls to Yellowstone. They saw Firehole falls and Old Faithful and the mud pots. It was a good way to spend the 4th of July!

Skunked

Brad and I decided to take the girls fishing for an afternoon. They love the idea of catching a fish but the whole waiting to catch a fish...not so hot on that! But it was fun to get out as a family anyway

Happy Birthday to You!

It was Wyatt's Birthday on Thursday(17th). He turned 1! I can't believe how grown up he is, this last year has flown by!

I even made an ice cream cake(after multiple attempts)! I told the girls that next time remind me that I buy cakes-not make them! But it turned out ok and I think it tasted pretty good. Wyatt got lots of fun new toys and new clothes.
We had grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles over for dinner to celebrate-it was a fun party! Happy Birthday Bubba!

"...the lovers, the dreamers, and me..."

Emma sang in her school choir and they performed their last concert last night-and she was fabulous!

They sang a couple of songs from the muppets, Sing and The Rainbow Connection. And they sang a song written by a mom of a student about soldiers and our country, very patriotic, it was beautiful. She said she was going to record it and then we could buy it from her. Then they sang a couple of Disney songs. We all came back to the house after for banana splits, it was a fun night.

She will move Mountains!

Maycee graduated from preschool on Thursday May 27th! Her preschool teacher put together a darling program with the kids in her class and then graduated them all, cap and gown and the whole works!

Oh I feel older and older all the time!

Look out Kindergarten, here she comes!
