Updated

So we didn't get the house. That's ok, we knew it was a long shot and the whole thing was a little wierd with the listing agent. So we aren't really looking at anything else but if something comes up again we may look into it at that time. So for now we are staying right where we are.

Things are going good. Just the same but at least nothing bad is happening, even if we are boring...

I need a vacation to recoup from my vacation...

So since we got back from vacation, I have had the hardest time getting back into the swing of things. And I have had so much that I am trying to do that it just got all too overwhelming. First, Brad and I found this house here in Bountiful that needs a lot(did I mention A LOT, it's pretty much a dump)of work. And we decided that on top of everything else that we would love to remodel it if we could get it for the right price. So we have been working with my dad and uncle in trying to put an offer in on this house. I think we are finally ready and when dad and Lorenzo get back from their weekend work we will put the offer in, hopefully on Monday. It is kind of a long shot but it would be totally awesome if it all worked out. So stay tuned...
Then Brad and I have decided that if we want any more kids that it really should happen sooner than later, and I would really like some more boys(Brad would never admit it, but he really wants some boys too). So last September I got rid of the birth control but my body is just not made for having children and can't decide what it wants to do so to make a long story short and not go into so much detail, my ob-gyn gave me clomid to take. It is an infertility drug that helps with cycle issues too. But the side effects are TERRIBLE, especially since I am not seeing benefits that I think I should. But with Maycee's issues I can't take it anymore. It makes me VERY irritable and that is just not a good combination with my Mayc, she requires A LOT of patience. So we have kidded that I should take the pill again since I had so much luck with it the last two times I took it. Which in all seriousness I might try it to see if it will straighten me out. I don't know...so other than that things around here are what they always are. Brad now has two guys that ride with him to Park City for work and they pay him for gas, which saves everyone money really. They both have great big trucks so what they pay Brad is significantly less than what they would spend to drive their trucks up there everyday and then it buys quite a bit of Brads gas too, so it is kind of nice, especially with gas the way it is.
I have to tell you though, last night I had to work in the ICU because the psych unit was low census so they sent me to the ICU and while I was working on a patient that was ventilated she started to come to. She turned her head toward me and mouthed the words "Thank you" to me. It was all I had to not just sit down and cry right there. It made me think with all the stress of my world, it doesn't even compare to what some of these people are going through. They are literally fighting for their lives and they still have the ability to say thank you to some complete stranger who was taking their vital signs. That's why I endure the kind of work that I get most days at work. Because there are times like this that make up for all the yucky stuff that is involved in nursing. We take for granted so much in this world, and I get to be reminded everytime I walk into the hospital that I have so much to be thankful for. What a great lesson I got last night.

The Happiest Place on Earth!

So this past week we went to Disneyland with my parents and my Brother and his wife and my sister; all on Mom and Dad Spencer! The girls were so excited and they counted down the days for months. It took forever to get here and it went by too fast. Isn't that how it always is?

We left on Tuesday and flew to LAX and then it was on to Anaheim to our hotel. This was the first time either of the girls had ever flown and so we gave them gum to chew to help their ears. And I don't know what Maycee thought that we told her about chewing the gum but come to find out on the way home she asked if she needed the gum so her ears wouldn't stick to the plane! Classic I tell ya!

The whole week was really fun and Emma is quite the roller coaster queen! If any of you have been to Anaheim lately there is a coaster in California Adventure called California Screamin' and Emma LOVED it! She thought it was the coolest thing ever. She wanted to go on the Mali Boomer but she was too short(it was the one that shoots you up 1000 feet in the air in like no seconds flat!) But she rode every other one that she could in both California Adventure and Disneyland. In fact the very first ride she ever went on was Space Mountain in Disneyland, and she was hooked. It was so fun for her; and us to watch her, she had the most fun out of all of us I think! Maycee was a little more timid about the rides but by the second day she was having fun too. I think her favorite one was a toss up between Dumbo at Disneyland and the jumping jellyfish at California Adventure. All they wanted to know when we got home last night was when they could go back!

We all went to a Princess lunch in California Adventure the first day we were there and Maycee was just completely enthralled with it! I hadn't ever payed that much attention to her reality/fantasy development until this past week and she is still in the phase where everything is real, and so a lot of the rides really freaked her out. But she loved seeing all the characters and getting their autographs, it was her movie stars in real life! The girls also got to get Princess makeovers done at this shop in Downtown Disney called Club Libby Lu. And they were so gorgeous! They loved every minute of it. Their hair was all fancy and they got glitter put all over them and lotions and make-up, every girls dream!

All-in-all, it was a wonderful vacation and we are so greatful to Mom and Dad Spencer for their generosity in taking us all on this great vacation!
