Here's to Success

Many of you may or may not know that we had to get rid of our Boxer because he was showing behaviors that I did not like(he was being very aggressive and barking and lunging at people on the street, ect). So we promised the girls that we would try again and this time try really hard to train it right so that it would be a good dog for our family. Well last night we found a little black lab and decided to bring it home. The girls love him and I guess that's all that matters.
He doesn't have a name yet but hopefully soon...

WOW!!!

So I am done with this first semester of nursing school and I rocked it!!! A's in all 4 classes, and they say the first semester is one of the hardest! I am going to be one kick a** nurse! I really had a good time and while it was crazy hard and I studied my butt off for the last 4 months I am so excited to be 1/4 the way done! I have made some good friends with a couple of the girls and we study really well together and it made a difference I think.

Now I have spent the last 4 or 5 days catching up on everything that got pushed to the side for the last 4 months. I cleaned my house and did the laundry, and folded it and put it away. See it would get washed and then never folded and my poor children had to dig through the piles to find clothes to wear. My goal this summer is to come up with a system to help our house run a little better when mommy is studying and not able to do it all, so if you have any suggestions let me know.

Then it was Mother's Day and I had to work, which isn't all bad. I only work every other weekend so I don't feel like I can ask for a lot of time off and it just worked out that my weekend was this one so I worked it. I made cute little corkboard things for my mom and mother-in-law and then I got flowers and I am going to go get a pedicure and manicure someday soon. I am so thankful for my husband and awesome children, after the last four months they deserve all kinds of whatever they want, they were(and still are) amazing. I am so greatful to be called their mom and wife.

Emma is in full count-down mode to summer. While she loves school the early morning part has never been her forte so she is excited that she gets to sleep in soon!

Maycee is truckin' along in preschool and looking forward to kindergarten, with a little hesitation. She isn't all go like Emma was but she will love it once she gets there I am sure.

Wyatt is rolling ALL over the place. He does the army crawl but he gets around so good as is that it may be a while till he decides to crawl for real. He shows no interest in walking and you can tell he is baby number 3, very relaxed boy! He may have asthma too. He started breathing funny again last Friday and so I took him to the doc and they are pretty sure that it is asthma. She said that where he had RSV last winter he is more prone and wear Maycee has it now too it makes the odds more in favor of asthma. So we were ordered a nebulizer and have had to do breathing treatments on him all weekend. They are starting to slow down now so hopefully we are good for a while. We have been able to control Maycee's really well so far and while she still shows symptoms we haven't had a major asthma attack since last October. And now that we have the nebulizer I feel pretty confident in my skills so hopefully we can really control both their symptoms good now. It just makes me wonder why all of the sudden they both have asthma, especially when there is no history in either family, wierd...stress does crazy things to your body I guess and it's been just a tad stressful around our house lately!

Brad is working tons of overtime at the Huntsman Cancer addition. He has been averaging about 50-60 hours a week, good for the money, but he has no time to spend any of it, the irony of it all! But he doesn't mind working a lot I don't think now that he is in more of a management position.

And his little Brother comes home from his mission on Thursday so the kids and I are making a big welcome home sign to hang in the yard with balloons and stuff. We are all excited to welcome him back home! He hasn't ever met Wyatt before and the girls have grown up a lot so they are excited to see him.

I know, I know, it's been FOREVER. But what can I say-I'm doing fabulously well in nursing school so can that be my excuse for not having a life outside school?

So let's see what I can remember...since the last time...

Maycee turned 5!!! Holy cow! Emma turned 7!!!! I am so not old enough to have a 7 year old! And we have made two trips to Primary Childrens for ear surgery's and a third trip just last night for Wyatt (he was feeling left out!) He has RSV, so we had to take him to the Respiratory Clinic and have a tube shoved down both his nostrils so he could breathe, it was special, poor little man!

We had birthday parties and family dinner's for birthdays and I've been working a little at the hospital in between going to school and being a mom and wife! But life is good and I love school. Can't wait till I'm done! It's going to be awesome!

Emma and Maycee are doing fabulous as well, in fact, they are out on their Daddy/Daughter date as we speak. Brad took them to the movie "veater" (theater, it took me weeks to figure out what in the heck a "veater" was!)

Wyatt is still the most amazing baby-all laughs and giggles(until they stick the tubes down his nose and throat). The nurses have all been amazed that a sick little baby can still be so happy and smiley and giggly.

Brad is working tons, I told him to do a good job because the facility will be done about the time I am done with school and they will be doing a huge RN hiring so unless he wants it to collapse on me while I am working there he better build it good!

What- it's already February?!

So it's been a while and this is what I have been up to...

It is complete craziness. And it consumes my life! But hopefully I will make big bucks when I am done and it will have been totally worth it...

This is what the rest of the fam has been doing while I am stuck at my desk for hours on end

School is hard! I mean really really hard! I guess they kind of make it that way since people's lives will be in your hands when your done, but still...anyway, I really like it, I always have but did I tell you it was hard yet?

The kids are great, I went to parent/teacher conferences and Emma is a wiz! (we didn't really have any doubts, but it's always nice to hear your kid is smart!) She gets to do some advanced stuff to try to keep her mind busy during the day at school, she has a great teacher who is willing to spend so much extra time on her kids in her class. She deserves a million bucks for sure, I am very impressed.

Maycee is still doing well. She has bouts of Asthma issues about every other week but so far we have been able to control it at home and it hasn't gotten too serious. I just feel bad for the poor girl, she coughs like crazy sometimes and it's dry and then her chest hurts, nasty stuff for a little girl to have to deal with!

Wyatt is great! I have no idea how I ended up with such an amazingly good baby! He is so great and happy and will just play for hours while I study. What a great little guy!

So anyway-that's about it for now...I'm off to study...

Goodbye 2009...Hello 2010

Well we did it! We made it through another crazy year! I can't believe that this year is over already, I just have no idea where all the time goes. We are once again thankful for our very many blessings this year...and we have quite a few!

January we were blessed with the ability to work. We both had jobs and were able to re-paint and re-decorate our kitchen.

February we were blessed with somewhat patient children who had the worst case of the "I wanna go to the park" ever and the momma was very large with child and wouldn't take them, so they waited...and waited...

March we were blessed to be able to celebrate another year older of our two beautiful girls, Emma and Maycee! They celebrated their birthdays with family and friends. They are amazing girls, we love them lots! And we were also blessed that while I was not able to continue clinical work at the hospital due to the pregnancy(and other issues, but this is a positive post, so we'll leave those other issues out)I was able to continue working as a secretary in the hospital.

April we were blessed to celebrate Easter and our Savior's Resurrection and our ability to be able to return to live with our Father in Heaven! And that while my pregnancy wasn't going as planned(high blood pressure) I was still able to carry the baby without too much problem and he would be able to be born safe and healthy.

May we were blessed with lovely spring weather and the girls kind of cooperated with some very overdue pictures. And school was beginning to wind down...you could feel the excitement building in the air!

June we were blessed with the birth of our son, Wyatt! He has added so much joy and happiness to our lives. He was able to be born healthy and our lives would not be the same without him! The girls were also able to finish their school years and participated wonderfully in their respective end of year programs!

July we were blessed to be able to celebrate once again our nations birthday and the freedoms that we are so blessed to enjoy everyday being a citizen of this great country! The girls participated in swimming lessons and we finally enjoyed some warm summer weather!

August we were blessed to only have to to spend 2 days in the hospital with Maycee, instead of the months and months that some spend at Primary Childrens. She was diagnosed with Asthma. Wyatt was given a name and blessing in sacrament meeting and the girls started school again, always an exciting time!!

September we were blessed with health. Our kids were growing and things were slowly getting into a routine, be it a crazy one, but a routine, none the less.

October we were blessed with the ability to create great memories. Family pictures and halloween. And I found out I would be able to start the RN program in Jan 2010!

November we were blessed with the chance to think of all things we are thankful for...a house to live in, clothes to wear, food to eat, employment, family and friends, healthy bodies, wonderful children that make me smile, and an awesome husband!

December we were blessed with the chance to celebrate our Savior's birth, and the wonderful feelings it brings with the season! We got to be with family and enjoy the lit up faces of kids as they opened their gifts! Nothin beats that!

So as you can see we have been blessed this year! And now were are gearing up for next...See you in 2010!

Then had to blow up tubes, couldn't figure out how air compressor worked, go to Dad's to use his

In the meantime back at the ranch, baby got fed and cried himself to sleep in the swing...too much excitement for him!

Finally tubes are blown up, but one has a hole...then two...

Find duct tape (I was once told that it fixed anything!)

Can't find the duct tape, used boxing tape instead, should hold long enough for a few trips down the hill.

Now how do we get all five of us to the hill and the two blown up tubes? Like this...
