Swimming Lessons
I finally got the girls signed up for swim lessons! They have been asking and asking when they get to go. So this morning we made it to their first lesson at the rec center. Afterwards Maycee was so proud of herself, she could hardly wait to show me how she could swim. That is exactly what I wanted, she has fear of water and wouldn't go anywhere near it most of the time and while that fear is good to a certain extent I really wanted her to feel comfortable in water so hopefully mission accomplished! Emma is a little fish and once again, it took me 10 minutes to coax her out of the pool after they were through! She had to go around all the things and take the longest possible route through the pool, she LOVES the water and would live in it if she was let.
Happy 4th of July
It was our nations 233rd birthday! And we began celebrating with the children's bike parade in Centerville. Both the girls decorated their bikes and Jaclyn offered to walk with them along the parade route! Brad and I and my mom and Wyatt found a spot to cheer and wave as they went by. There was hundreds and hundreds of kids this year and it took a long time for the girls to finally reach us (they were towards the end), but they had fun and got their Popsicle's when they were done!
On Saturday, the 4th, we have a tradition of going to breakfast before the parade but since this year we have two rather small additions to our family we opted for making breakfast at Grandmas, complete with silly face pancakes(just like at IHOP). And the four grandkids were all decked out in their festive attire, can't get any cuter than that!! (but we aren't biased or anything!)
After breakfast we went down to the parade, and while the girls had fun getting all the candy, the parade seriously lacks good entries. There was one darling float by one of the Woods Cross stakes and that was it! But the girls had fun and that's what counts! And all the while Wyatt slept in his carrier, he's not much into the excitement yet.
