School is back in session

It doesn't seem like it should be time to start school again, but alas it is and both Emma and Maycee are in school for a full day, 3rd grade and 1st grade. They were ready to go this morning in their new clothes and shoes!

They rode the bus and then I met them over at the school and got them each to their new class rooms. They were nervous and excited. It's such a great time of year for them! They are awesome girls and they'll have a great year!

Wyatt was pretty upset when he learned that he was not staying with them and big tears were present. He is really going to miss them this year!

The two of us went and bought books for my last semester of nursing school!!! I can already feel the stress setting in...in the form of cold sores! YUK!!!! Just got to make it to December 15th!

Here we go again...!

A Day at the Lake

We decided to take the kids to Willard Bay and let them swim for the day. They had a blast and we decided that we really need to invest in some watercraft for next summer! Brad put his shirt back on since he was feeling the sun on his back, however his feet are a different story and my back is feeling the effects of the sun...ouch!

Emma is our resident fish...she LOVES the water!
And Maycee didn't do too bad...she loved to play in it too
But this is more her thing!
Wyatt wanted to ride the waverunners sooooo bad, he was so mad when he couldn't!
Emma got Grandpa and Uncle Trevor to throw her out of the water and she ended up doing a little flip
It was way fun and we definately need to do more of it!

Weekend camping trip

Brad and I decided to take the kids camping and we invited his parents to come with us. We went up by Stawberry Reservior to a spot called Renegade. We laughed as we pitched the tents cuz Bob had this old tent he said he got when he was just out of high school, they dearly named The Legend. It had a big hole in the bottom for his pole when he went ice fishing and a big hole in the side from an apparent fire when ice fishing. Greg, Colby and Nathan got to be the sleepers in the legend, well for half a night. The next morning I get out of our tent and Greg is on the ground next to another tent a few feet away from his own and Nathan is in his sleeping bag under the tables next to the fire pit, both with many complaints about the noisy sleeping partner still left in the tent. Wyatt was the best helper in setting up the tents, mostly because it required the use of a hammer!

Brad, his dad and brothers all took their pontoon boats for fishing but it seemed that everytime they tried to go out it got really windy and the lake was too choppy. Brad took the girls fishing off the shore and they rode the wheelers and explored the mountain area we were at, colored pictures and played with their dolls.

Wyatt did pretty good. The first night(his first ever not sleeping in his crib)he didn't want much with sleep. He didn't cry but he was all over the place, and maybe slept for a total of 3 hours. The second night he did better and fell asleep pretty fast, couldn't have anything to do with the fabulous nights sleep the night before. But then he woke up in the middle of the night and decided that his sisters were great targets sleeping next to him. He would say, "sis eyes" and proceed to poke them in the eyes and once when I thought he was asleep I turned out the light and then could hear the rustle of his bag and turned the flashlight back on and he was halfway across the top of the tent on his way to Emma. He is a Hyde and therefore-not the least bit quiet and wanted to know where everyone was in the pitch black. Hopefully the other campers didn't mind the little toddler voice asking where Daddy was sis were all night long.

It was a good trip and the kids had fun...I think I'll still take a stay in a hotel over camping...
Fishing and crawdad catching
All loaded and ready to head home

Waiting for everyone else to wake up
