First Day of School!!

Today was Emma's first day of Kindergarten!!! She was so excited she could hardly stand it! Both her and Maycee got to dress in their new school clothes and they both have worn their backpacks around all day. It is so great to have kids that love to learn, it is one of the best things that we get to do in this life.

Emma went to the Back to School Morning at the Elementary School. They got to meet their teacher and go to the library while the teacher talked to the parents. Emma has Mrs. Wheeler at Meadowbrook Elementary, and she seems like she will be excellent. She doesn't go back until next week because they have the kindergarten testing the rest of this week. Emma goes tomorrow to do hers. It's going to be a long week...

I also finally found Maycee another preschool, YA!!! She was excited that she could go to school now to. It is a lady that is in her first year teaching and seems like she should be pretty good. Maycee just needs the social interaction practice anyway, I can do academic stuff with her. So we are all set to go...Oh ya...

I started another semester again(I think I am trying to forget that). It is my last semester of gen ed classes and then I don't have anything I have to take until I get into a nursing program. I am still playing around with the idea of going to finish my cosmotology degree at SLCC while I wait to get into their nursing program, but I don't know yet.

So we are back into the swing of things, and hopefully it will be a great year for us all!!

Go World!!

We have watched the Olympics religiously for the last two weeks, and it has been so nice to turn on the tv and have something fun and exciting to watch. I was watching them with Emma one night and she told me that she wanted to be just like the gymnatics girls. And I didn't think much about it at the time, but then got to thinking last night as I watched the closing ceremonies that I would love for the Olympic Athletes to be the heros and role models for our children. The majority of them have worked so hard to accomplish getting to the Olympics and they are great people for my children to look up to. It is also great for our world to be able to see that we can all get along and have a good time, even with all the differences in lifestyles, religion, culture, ect....I was so sad to see the Olympics end last night, it was some great tv!!

Happy Anniversary!!

So today is Brad and I 6th Wedding Anniversary. I just have to say what an incredible ride it has been the last 6 years. Brad is my everything and I am so incredibly lucky to have him. Not a day goes by that he doesn't tell me that he loves me(usually more than once). He is the hardest worker I know and he would do anything to make sure his family is taken care of. It hasn't been all thrills and giggles, don't get me wrong, but we have never gone to bed mad at one another and I have made a decent communicator out of him(still a little work to do there!) He is an amazing father and a wonderful example to his children. We both commented that it seems like yesterday that we got married and the whole whirlwind of events that followed. I love him more and more everyday, and can't wait to see what forever brings our way! I love you more Brad!!

Daily Amazement

Tonight as I went to put the girls to bed this is what I found...

It has been a really good day for both of them and they have played so well together and had so much fun together. We haven't done anything out of the ordinary but they have been best friends today. They become closer and closer everyday and I am so thankful that they are such good friends. They are my princesses and Brad and I love them so much. It amazes me everyday that they do what they do. They are both so smart and strong little girls, I sometimes forget that they are still little. As a mom it is so great to see your children grow and develop. What a blessing these two are in our lives and everyone they meet!
